Situation 1: Accepting an Offer ホストのお母さん：ごはんのおかわり、いかが？Gohannookawari,ikaga?‘How about more rice?’
留学生：ああ、もう沢山いただいてます。Aa,moutakusanitadaitemasu.“哦,我already have a lot.’
ホストのお母さん：肉じゃがもまだいっぱいあるのよ。Nikujagamomadaippaiarunoyo.‘We have plenty ofnikujagatoo.’ 留学生：ええ、ほんとにこれおいしいですね。Ee,hontonikoreoishiidesune。‘Thisisreallygood.’ ホストのお母さん：そう？じゃあ遠慮しないで。Sou?Jaaenryoshinaide.‘Really?Don’t be shy to ask (for more) then.’ 留学生：そうですか、じゃあもう少しいただいていいですか？Soudesuka,jaamousukoshiitadaiteiidesuka?‘Really,thencanI havejusta bit more ?’ ホストのお母さん：ええ、もちろん。よかったわ、たくさん作っておいて。Ee,mochiron.Yokattawa,takusantsukutteoite.‘Sure, of course.I’m glad I made a lot.’
